Cashless Society - Another Coming Sign

I remember the very first dollar I ever earned. It was what I received from a lady in our church after I had mowed her lawn. For a 10 year old kid, that dollar was a lot of money. I felt rich. It is always good to have some dollars in your wallet. But what if dollars were no longer accepted for payment? What if cash became extinct - just like dinosaurs? If you are like Marlys and me, we have a jar at home where we toss in all our change - those pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters that we get back after payment. Over the years they amount to quite a sum of money. But, what if they were no longer accepted by a bank or a store? Friends, that "what if" is now closer to reality. There is a growing movement to initiate a cashless society - a society in which cash would no longer be accepted as legal tender. You could no longer use cash to make purchases or to pay your bills. Cash would no longer be accepted by your bank for deposit into your account. Those dollars you have hidden away for an emergency suddenly are not even worth the paper they are printed on. But the world is heading in this direction. For many of us who use a credit card/debit card for nearly everything, perhaps we would not notice much of a change. But, what if that was to change also? What if everyone was required to use the cashless system? What would be in the impact? Cashless necessarily means there would be some type of digital footprint which someone could follow. And who would be the most logical "someone" who would follow those digital footprints? Government would have great interest in how you spend your money, how you even earn your money. Could the government limit your spending? Absolutely! Could the government suspend your accounts? Absolutely! Could the government demand that you help pay for their debt and garnish money from your account in order to do so? Absolutely! This was done in 2013 on the Island of Cyprus where the government, in order to pay its debts, seized money from the depositors in the country's banks. It is called a bail-in. And in 2010, as part of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Act, our government now has the power to conduct a bail-in. Friends, the Bible strongly indicates that when the Antichrist sets up his worldwide government, he will also control a worldwide economy. He will have the power to know the buying and selling and to set limitations. Those who violate his mandates will have their assets seized. We are getting closer to that becoming a reality. It is time to look up for our Redemption is soon to come.
